How to Tie a Balanced Leech Fly Pattern – Sea-Run Fly & Tackle
Hanging a balanced leech under a strike indicator is one of our favourite ways to target Rainbow and Brook trout when out on the lakes. The horizontal presentation of this fly and the movement in the materials, combined with the wave action on my strike indicator, make this an irresistible meal for any fish that happens to cross its path. This technique is not limited to our interior Stillwaters. It can be used on any lake and other species such as Bass and Cutthroat can be fooled by it as well. If you haven't tried it, it’s definitely a technique that is worth adding to the arsenal!
