Description

This is a landing net for those who fish small streams and prefer a net with a smaller hoop and net bag. This would also be a nice net for Tenkara style fishing.    The curved handle 7 inch made of birds eye maple joined with a dark piece of Texas ebony.  The 10 x 6.5 inch hoop is figured maple and elm.   These woods are from about as far north and south as you can go in the United States. The Texas ebony is an urban harvest wood that was wrangled from the junk heaps and burn piles in south Texas. I was lucky to find an individual who was an urban logger and stocked up a small supply. (The needed quantity for a life time supply keeps getting smaller).   From the Upper Peninsula of Michigan comes the birds eye maple.
