The Snowbee Classic Fly Fishing Kits are available in eight popular rod sizes, each one in high modulus, lightweight graphite, with high-lif snake guides for effortless casting, plus an A-Grade cork handle. A new lightweight aluminium reel seat and a qualiyt cloth rod bag is also included. Each kit comes complete with a matching Snowbee Classic fly reel, and a weight forward profile classic floating fly line, providing the ideal components for a perfectly balanced outfit. Backing and fly line are already pre-loaded and the tapered leader attached, so all that is need is to choose a fly, tie it on and go fishing.

Snowbee's Prestige G-XS range of fly rods bring the latest carbon fibre developments - Graphene. This amazing new technology really is a game changer and propels snowbee to the top of the leader board, in terms of performance and innovation. Graphenes atoms are 300 times smaller than the smallest nanoparticle, resulting in an even denser carbon mat, with virtually no air pockets, enhanced by the use of autoclave ovens, which bake the blanks under high pressure, to create a lighter, stronger blank.

The lightweight aluminium reel fittings have a hard anodised silver/gold finish and feature stunning maple burl wood inserts. This beautiful wood displays a range of colours and grain patterns, making each rod quite unique and individual. The rich bronze colour of the blanks is complemented by self-colour whippings with a subtle single band of bronze whipping.

In addition to river, small stillwater and reservoir rods, there are also longer, lower line weight models, appealing to river fishers who favour the lighter Eastern European and Czech nymph styles of fishing.

Cortland's Competition MKII Nymph Fly Rods

Built using carbon fiber of military grade modulus and resins, these rods have been designed and built utilizing over 30 years of top level competition experience from the Cortland Prostaff. The balance of the weight and the main power in the butt section paired with a downward locking reel seat for this technique is paramount. An ergonomic fighting butt provides correct weight distribution and necessary control to land the larger fish.

Rods include a specific-size, cloth rod sock and an optic orange rod case for easy location on the river bank.

Application

These rods are ideal for throwing tight loops with long range floating lines. The reinforced blank also features enough power to effortlessly cast sink tips and full sinking lines in heavy head winds. The Douglas Upstream Fly Rod Series lineup from Douglas Outdoors brings eight unique, ultra-lite fly rods to the game. The all new Spectre Pro rods use the very latest carbon fibre technology and build on thepast performance of their predecessors. For many years Snowbee have used ‘multi-modulus’ carbon technology varying the tensile modulus of the carbon fibre, through the blank, to precisely design and control the stiffness and flex in each section, as well as the important recovery speed of the tip. Using predominantly 40 ton carbon fibre with a small amount of 36 ton, Snowbee have achieved the precise, crisp, middle-to-tip action we required,through careful manipulation of the resin formulation and carbon fibre scrim.

The blanks are left ‘un-ground’ with a natural finish, leaving the original matt lay-up of the double helical hoop pattern intact, adding strength to the blank, making it far more durable, whilst still providing the desired enhanced performance. The satin finish, silver/grey blank, helps eliminate ‘rod flash’, whilst the contrasting black whippings, with subtle silver trim, give these rods a contemporary finish and ‘understated’ look. To keep weight to a minimum, we have used lightweight machined aluminium reel seats, with carbon fibre inserts and a silver anodised finish. Each rod in the range has a small rubber-cork fighting butt and comes in a quality self-colour cotton drill rod bag, plus matching Cordura covered rod tube.

This great all-round light-weight spey rod has a powerful progressive action, presenting a long line with effortless ease, agility and feel, yet light enough to remain responsive all day long. Match with the respective traditional or short head profile spey lines for a most impressive performance. When room allows, overhead casting with a short head line for the less experienced angler is also permissible.
