Florida's curly-tailed lizard, The Curly-Tailed lizard is a…
The Curly-Tailed lizard is an invasive Species in Florida. They are native to the Bahamas, Cayman Islands and Cuba, but they were introduced to Palm Beach in the 1940s in an attempt to control sugar cane pests. I saw hundreds of these on a small island in the Florida Keys. A local said many people have tried to keep these as pets, but when they no longer want them, they drop them off at this small island. They look nice, but the locals consider them a pest.
