Antique fishing tackle. Original Snook Bait Company saltwater fishing lure (5” in length) manufactured in New York 3, NY. Joe Evola was the founder of Snook which manufactured lures from 1949-1952. Evola is also the creator of Surf King and Big Snook fishing items. Even though the 2nd treble hook and a glass eye are missing, lost in a formidable fishing battle, the lure’s original paint is still beautifully detailed and vivid after over 70 years in existence. Rare find to add to your collection. This Snook lure was purchased by Captain's Benny's family and used in fishing for Blues, Stripers and Tuna off the shores and beaches of Long Beach NY. Contact Captain Benny for possible price negotiation or questions. Free shipping.
